SERAPH HPA electropneumatic engine
SERAPH is an electropneumatic HPA engine made for airsoft replicas.
Unlike SPECTRE, the SERAPH engine works like other classic HPA engine.

The design is very similar to a GATE Pulsar D. One solenoid operates a piston, which pushes back the tappet plate. The other solenoid operates the poppet, which enables air to push BBs.

Why use a SERAPH then?
-> SERAPH uses standard AEG nozzles and cylinder heads: no more compatibility issues, your engine will always fit your replica,
-> Price: thanks to the use of own SCALAR solenoid valves and polymers, SERAPH can be manufactured at a low cost, at scale,
-> Evolution: SERAPH is designed to be modular. 3D printing, access to technical details of the engine, offset nozzles compatibility, everything will be there for your proprietary builds (coming September 2024)

PERFORMANCES AND TECHNICAL DATA
Battery: 7,4V (2S) LiPo battery

Operating pressure: 4-10 bars (55-145psi)
Max pressure: 10 bars (145psi)

Max Rate of fire: 25 RPS (without any tweaking)

Firing mode: Semi, Full, Burst 2/3/4/5, Binary

Energy output (with 0.20g BBs):
Typically 1.2J at 80psi with 250mm barrel / 1.75J at 80psi with 690mm barrel
Energy increased with pressure: energy at 120psi will be 50% higher than at 80psi, with same barrel and BBs
Air Efficiency: approximately 900shots @1,5J - 0.85 psi per shot - 0.2L 200bars tank (13ci 3000psi)

Note: test setup: 0.20g BB - 375mm 6.03 barrel - SHS Hopup Unit (set to zero) - Maple Leaf Macaron 60
Electric Efficiency: more than 10,000 shots with a 250mAh 7,4V battery

Typical poppet dwell time: 7-8 milliseconds
Typical nozzle dwell time: 13-18 milliseconds

FIRST RELEASE OF SERAPH
Pre-orders ends August 11, 2024
Delivery second half of August 2024
Only V2 and V3 ready for the first release
New trigger boards for other replicas coming September 2024
Specific parts for offset nozzles with better air flow coming September 2024

FUNCTIONNALITIES
HIGH MODULARITY
Uses AEG nozzles, no more proprietary nozzles
Uses AEG cylinder heads, no more compatibility issues, ready for offset gearboxes (coming September 2024)

SIMPLE DESIGN
Uses industrial parts for solenoids valves
SERAPH uses fewer seals than other engines: only 3 O-rings are "dynamic seal" which need lubrication
Other seals (4 O-rings and 3 flat seals) are "static seal" meaning no friction, no lubrication.

PROGRAMMING

-
Programming made easier thanks to a 128x32 OLED external display
-
Two buttons located on the FCU to scroll through menu.
-
SCALAR's FCU functions: rate of fire, fire mode on selector positions 1 and 2 (semi, full, burst 2/3/4/5 and binary), closed bolt or AEG-loading, dwells time ( poppet dwell, nozzle dwell, and return to battery)
-
Two profiles to quickly change settings (like for two different AR uppers)
-
SCALAR's FCU and wire harness are fully compatible with Polarstar electronics (same connectors, same number of pins...)
-
SCALAR's FCU can actuate a F2/FE, and a Pulsar D with adapters
